Automatic hosting orders and email accts., Setup for instant hosting/free emails

Hi,

This may have been addressed already somewhere but I couldnt find it.

How do we go about setting up an instant order type of thing. So our customers can click a button, make thier order, and they get setup automatically?

Also, is there a way to allow visitors to set up an email address? With one of my domains I would like to offer free email addresses with a specific amount of storage space, like hotmail or something. Can we do this?

If anyone has answers, I would appreciate the help.
The domain I want to offer free emails on is www.larueweb.com. This is a new promotional idea I would like to try.

There are several scripts available that you can use to do this. We experimented with www.whmautopilot.com, but it didn't fit our needs as well as we had hoped. That program actually does a lot more than just automatically setup hosting accounts..... it also tracks customers, billing, servers, etc. Some other programs you may want to look at are:

Regardless of whether you use one of the above scripts or write your own, it is the "Setup Remote Access Key" feature in WHM that you need your script to connect to, in order to have accounts automatically setup in your reseller plan (or on your server, if you have a dedicated server of your own).

About allowing visitors to setup their own email addresses.... I do not know how to do that, nor do I advise trying to do it. The reason is because there are so many people out there looking for free email addresses to do bad things with. It significantly opens your account up (and thus the server your account is on) to the possibility of malicious intent, which can cause the server to go down. Specifically, people may decide to use it to send spam. If enough is sent, it could bring the server down. Or worse yet, could result in the server's IP addresses being blacklisted thus causing problems for everyone's emails on the server. Just thought I should point this out

And I didnt think about the possible consequences of allowing emails, but you are right, there are many. Thanks, but I will not be offering free or automatic email accounts.

I don't personally know how to use it..... but our tech support should be able to help you out. Send them a support request using the form on our tech support page and they'll help you out.
